Reply:Depends what you want to do. If you want an AC/DC buzz box for stick welding, $100 is more than fair. You can sell the HF box and make it even cheaper. If you want to do basic DC tig welding, then the HF box won't hurt, but you don't HAVE to have one to tig weld. I see a stinger to stick weld, but I don't see a tig torch. It may be there and I just don't see it though.If your plan is to do Ac tig welding, PASS. While it's possible to do so with that rig, it will be like learning to juggle while riding the high wire on a unicycle while juggling a chainsaw, a thumb tack, a pillow and a bowling ball all at the same time. Frustration will be very high, and failure will be frequent. Get a real dedicated AC/DC tig machine if you want to do Ac tig..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Reply:Yeah, pretty tough to do any kind of TIG welding with those old buzzboxes because they didn't include a foot pedal. I'd want a demonstration that the machine actually welds before I'd give $100.  If you don't yet weld, bring a friend who does.

It's hard on tapped machines, but not with one like this where you can set the amps anywhere..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size.
