Parts for Ranger 8

I'm thinking about buying a ranger 8 off a buddy at work, its only got 70 hours and comes with a trailer, and he only wants 700 for it! Leads ,tig rig, couple cans of various rods, etc. He thinks its got a carb problem and its sat for about a year. I know it will take a little work to get going, but I just wanted to make sure that there aren't any problems getting parts  for these bad boys. Its got the onan performer 16 motor.  Any suggestions on places to look for a carb rebuild kit, or new carbs or just parts in general.  Does anyone have anything against this welder/generator or have any suggestions on mods or things to look for?
