9 inch grinder

I am getting ready to bug a 9 inch grinder, and I was looking for opinions as to brand.  It needs to be AC/DC as I want to be able to use it with an SA200.  I am looking to buy a new grinder, so that also rules out a wild cat.  I am looking at Makita, Milwaukee, and Dewalt.I am open to others though.  Fire away.Bruce DeLaetHeavy Equipment Mechanic and Welder1948 SA-200 short hood1949 LincWelder 1801963 SA-200 red faceMiller S-32-P

Reply:I have a 9"  Porter cable,milwaukee, makita, black& Decker and a bosch.Several of them are probably 40 years old.  They all gather dust with powerful 41/2" ones in the shop.  I still use them on heavy equipment, but it's getting rarer every year.  I do smoke a lot of 4 1/2" grinders though, I should add. I am ready to try Metabo, just havent yet.

Reply:The Wildcat is listed as new fromhttp://www.hcisupply.com/black.htmI have both the 4 1/2", and the 7".  I like them both.  I think the makita looks very much the same as the B&D, but I do not know about the internal parts.Have you ruled out air-powered, because there are some nice ones from Dynabrade, and Atlas-Copco among others.
