I needed to weld up some trusses for a project and just guessing at angles and distances wasn't working too well, so I stopped designing in CAD and wrote a spreadsheet. The attached is self explanatory because it contains a full written description and pictures as examples. I wrote it using LibreOffice under Ubuntu Linux and the '.ods' version is the original. The '.xlsx' version is one I exported from LibreOffice but I have no idea if it works under Windows since I don't have any Windows boxes. Attached FilesTrussMemberGeometry.zip (75.1 KB, 125 views)To my knowledge, I own:50% of all the plasma cutters,33% of all the TIG welders and20% of all the MIG welders on the island.I own 1 of each.
