Good afternoon gentleman, I'm having issue with a the definition of a code on a Lincoln Powerwave s350. The error code is 279. I can't seem to find what the definition is, the operator's manual does not show it. Can someone help please. Thanks.
Reply:If you have the powerwave manager program you can look it up there.If not, go to powerwavesoftware.com and down load it. with it and an ethernet cable you can look at the fault logs. Take a snap shot and send it to Lincoln for then to look at.Gives several problems that can cause it. depends on when it shows up.Check all the dip switches and make sure the welder and the feeder are in the same group. Feeder in group 1 and welder in group 2 will cause this fault.See owner's manual on dip switch settings.
