I bought a 360mp a year ago. For a few months it ran decent on carbon steel jobs. We never had luck getting the pulse dialed in for stainless. Somewhere along the way we were on a job and the contact tip pushed out of the diffuser. Being that the tips are threaded, this seemed really odd. We put a new diffuser and tip on the machine of course, but the machine has pretty much collected dust since then. Now, I drug it out of the cobwebs last week to try to find something to like about it. Its pretty unpredictable from one setting to the next, feeds rough at random intervals, and has pushed two more tips out of diffusers.Im thinking theres potentially a liner problem causing wire to not enter contact tip properly and to eventually push the contact tip out of the diffuser
but, it seems almost unbelievable that the wire could be burning off / breaking off that far back into the gun. Either way Im going to replace the liner and see if anything improves.Has anyone had this happen before (contact tips getting pushed out of diffuser)? If so what did you find to be the culprit? It has to be some sort of feeding problem, right? Thanks for any input |
