It's a long shot but our shop was broken into friday night and 3 welders along with other misc it's stolen. I'm located near Columbus ohio. One of the welders stolen was a Miller 350 syncrowave. It's a shot in the dark but if anyone runs across a brand new ( less than one year) for way to cheap please give me a shout.Norweld NL-130"The bug" wnp-200 HF 80
Reply:That sucks. I'll sticky this so it stays at the top for a bit. I hope you manage to recover at least one of the units. It might pay to use something like Searchtempest to keep an eye out on CL over a large area. They may not try to sell this local. Also they may wait for a few months before listing the machines if they are going to try and resell them, so I would keep looking for a while. Good luck..No government ever voluntarily reduces itself in size. Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Reply:They used our forklift to load them up. They had to of known the shop/layout because there are footprints straight to breaker box killing the power before cutting the power cord with a set of Side cuts out of someone's roll around. I'll get the seriel#'s and post them, i will also contact miller with the numbers. Thank you for the help I would of never thought of calling miller. An I'll try the searchtempest as well. Even if it's 2 years down the road if they contact miller it's reported stolen w/ the local pd so it might find its way home.Norweld NL-130"The bug" wnp-200 HF 80

Reply:I agree with others. 1. It's not going to be advertised locally. 2 it's someone you know3. Report to MillerYou didn't mention if you're insured or not but I I feel for you none the less. Best of luck. Terry
Reply:If by chance I do find it for a good deal on craigslist would you mind if I buy it and you can have my older sw250? 12v battery, jumper cables, and a 6013.I only have a facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/pages/VPT/244788508917829
Reply:What were the other two welders?
Reply:Yes, two other welders were stolen as well. A smaller lincoln mig, just purchased two months ago down in Texas on a job. Which they got a paperweight it was already burnt up, and a 252 millermatic that's a few years old. I have no doubt you all our right about it being an employee or at least ex employee. It's odd as well, because there is a lincoln squarewave 355 , right there, several miller maxstar 150s, and another 10 + other welders. They knew what they wanted that's for sure.....Norweld NL-130"The bug" wnp-200 HF 80

Reply:They where looking for newer looking stuff. Not things that looked old and well used. I'm surprised that you did not have an alarm system in the building even if it is not a monitored.Klutch 220si mig , stick, and dc tigHobart 140 AHP ALPHA 200X 2016Lotos LTP5000DSmith O/P

Reply:Sorry to hear a bout the loss that's a real nasty thing taking someone's tools that they use for a living. I reside up in the southern mid Michigan area, I'll keep an eye out at the pawn shops around here. And I know most of them here in the mid Michigan area from buying tools and used welding equipment. So I'll let the owners know for you at all the shops I frequent. And I'm always on Craigslist daily so same there if I see anything. I'll send a private pm. Good chance they won't go up locally and most likely will be sold away from you. Like Fort Wayne, IN. Lansing, Mi you get my drift. Sorry to hear about the loss that's a real nasty thing taking someone's tools that they use for a living. I used the Miller 350 syncrowave all through college when I was going for my Welding & Fabrication degree and what a beautiful machine to have. And like its all ready been pointed out, "sounds like an inside job."When I die I want to go out peacefully sleeping like my grandfather did,not screaming in horror like his passengers in the car.

Reply:It is really sad IF it is a employee that has a job . It's bad when crackheads do it for drug money . Stealing is bad but to steal from the hand that feeds you really sucks. I hope you catch the guy or guys. Any update ??? We need to keep this post to be seen daily, you never know if someone has info.
Reply:Im sorry for lack of response and updates. Been beyond busy and was build in a garage at my brother in laws. But as far as the welding machines go and the thieves neither have been found. Hopefully something turns up and thank you all for keeping an hear out and spreading the word, im truely grateful.Norweld NL-130"The bug" wnp-200 HF 80

Reply:Sorry to hear about your loss, I'd say a lesson in broken fingers is in order, anyway I several years ago from others misfortunes around here, invested in security, cameras and video, and if they steel the security system their still caught because today's modern tech sends pics to email so you still got um. Good luck! Hopefully it don't stop the work. Samsung security or there's others.Originally Posted by Millwright86It's a long shot but our shop was broken into friday night and 3 welders along with other misc it's stolen. Reply:Call Lincoln's warranty dept with the serial number and ask if a warranty claim has been filed on the Lincoln welder. Should be able to track it back to the thief through the paper work. Then let Lincoln know it was stolen and if they would keep an eye open for it. We tried to do warranty on a Miller once, The Police from 90 miles away came to us and picked it up.Try contacting all service and repair centers for 100 miles around you. Might get lucky. If you do recover, let Lincoln and Miller know.
Reply:It might be time for a security system or at least camera's and a DVR recording 24/7.You can hide the DVR in the ceiling and use mini cams that are concealed.Don't let anyone know you have the camera's.You could also place security system warning signs around the property. If you do nothing to protect yourself they maybe back for a second round.
