I have an older Miller Sidekick 90 amp machine that is not welding and I have been troubleshooting to find out what is going on. I am running .030 wire on it and am getting no penetration on my weld, I can literally break the weld off and the metal underneath is basically untouched. Could dropping down to .023 wire make a difference?

Reply:short answer is NO. wire size is not your problemMiller Multimatic 255
Reply:You got a free welder that doesn't work right. Maybe??? that's the answer to all your problems. I agree with G-ManBart, you already have a thread on this so having another one isn't required.
Reply:Trying a smaller wire couldn't hurt. |
