I recently acquired an old mechanic and auto body shop. A lot of old equipment inside. There is an old KO Lee arc stick welder. It doesn't look functional but I am not sure. Does this have any value?

Reply:It will depend where you are amongst other things. I also have one but never tried to sell it. I leave it where it is so when I need to weld something there I have a machine to do it. It is likely only AC which does not make it really attractive in today's welding world. If you can find someone who wants to collect it it might have some value. No offense to lincoln/miller buzz box machine owners but the KO was a big step above those. Check it out, it probably still works, there's not much to go wrong with them. Mine was used commercially for many years and still works when I need it.---Meltedmetal
Reply:Probably not real valuable as a collectible or as a functioning welder. I would test it and if it works, keep it.I worked in a shop that had an old K O Lee surfacegrinder.
