Hi. I’m new here. First post.I’ve had a Handler 120 for about 25 years. Have been using it with 030 flux core the whole time. I bought it when I was just out of college and the gas kit seemed very expensive at the time.Well, I’m finally ready to upgrade. My machine seems to already have the gas hookup, solenoid, and tube to the gun connection.I think I need a tank, regulator, and hose…. Is that all? Amazon has a wide array of options. Anything special I should look for?Thank you,DougLast edited by Dougget; 18 Hours Ago at 09:49 AM.
Reply:I have same welder. It does have a gas solenoid. All you need is a gas bottle (C25, bigger bottle is better), hose, and regulator. I have bought 3-4 of these with good experience. Price is very reasonable. https://usaweld.com/products/htp-ame...2415b17b&_ss=rLook at manual on reversing polarity and setup. Much better than fluxcore.Burt _____________________Miller Syncrowave 250Millermatic 211Miller 375 Plasma Cutter Hobart Handler 120www.10FtDrillBit.comwww.MyWelds.com - pictures of my work
Reply:Save that machine and upgrade to a larger machine. Buy a higher amp machine and you'll get everything you need with it and more amps.A 120 amp machine isn't gonna give you much and the duty cycle is like nothing. Consider a 190 Hobart or larger. Do you have a 220 volt outlet ? |
