Reply:I have a few drilling shrouds and the all have different uncommon size hoses.

The primary mode of failure on older Shop-Vacs, as far as I know, is the bearings. Might wanna pop it open and put some oil on them. FWIW, I have a Bauer Harbor Freight vacuum, like 9 gallons or so, and it kinda kicks @ss. Like, you know that scene from Full Metal Jacket?
