Lincoln ranger 8 circuit breaker keeps tripping. Machine welds and generates fine. It does not charge the battery. It actually discharges the battery during operation. I changed the rectifier/ regulator and was proceeding to check the stator when I found the circuit breaker issue. I tried an auto reset circuit breaker to see if the original one was bad and it trips then resets over and over. Could a bad stator cause the circuit breaker to malfunction? Maybe its the circuit breaker causing the machine to not charge the battery all along. Help!
Reply:Considering and thinking you're dealing with the 25A circuit breaker CB7, I presume the unit is powered by the Honda.CB7 protects the battery charge circuit from a short to ground so the task at hand is to determine where a short to wires 208/A/B/C, 209A, 210 and all related circuits might be occurring including the ammeter, run/stop switch, start button, oil pressure switch, etc. And don't rule out a bad battery that may be drawing excessive charge amperage.I feel this may be the typical troubleshoot for hours only to find a 5 minute fix.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110

Reply:I had half a machine torn apart the other day before I had a duh battery moment. Just outright jumped to something else. Had 1 in a golf cart a while back, heard it come in, operator gets off, comes back out and bat had dies since it last started.Last edited by Sberry; 11 Hours Ago at 04:46 PM.www.urkafarms.com |
