Allison 1000 series transmissions.

I'm looking to buy a light truck here in Australia, and a few different brands seem to offer an Allision 6 speed automatic as an option, they're not common here since the Chevrolet Silverado  1500 and 2500 have only been officially imported here for the last few years and even then, they've sold something like 700 of them in total.The trucks I'm looking at are a Hyundai with a 170hp and 450 ft/lb of torque, other option i'm looking at are HINO trucks with an Aisin A465 automatic which i think is related to the transmission in the dodge RAM 3500-5500 trucks in the states.How do these boxes hold up for fairly heavy use? i'm looking at around 22'000 pounds max total weight of for the truck if i'm also towing.Last edited by ttoks; 1 Week Ago at 12:00 AM.
