Galvanized or not?

Asking you experts who have more years welding than I’ve been alive: is this steel galvanized or not? I don’t have any way to go lay eyes on it in person.


Reply:To me it does not look galvanized.  It's got a light coating of rust that is why I think that.  But it's not 100% I've seen stainless look like that at the junkyard, you won't know until you physically inspect it.
Reply:Sure looks like basic weathered steel to me. Those smashed ends might be from something that was cut up. Is this being sold ? How much ? Will you be using for a project or just to practice on ? Depending on what your intentions are, I would check with local suppliers for steel. Check Facebook market place and Craigs list too.
