I just picked up an old welder I have never seen before. Trying to get any information I can since there is no data plate i can find. It has a vertical amp slider on the left front, a or b holes for the stinger to plug in, & breaker on the right. Don't know how to post a pic.Last edited by mystery; 5 Days Ago at 10:59 PM.Reason: Try to add photo

Reply:Based on the picture I'd say it's an old stick welder.

Reply:It's Gray & rectangle shaped. Not tombstone.

Reply:Doesn't look repainted. Very dark gray almost black. I haven't seen anything like it with the vertical slider. It's definitely a buzz box stick welder about the same size as the Lincoln tombstone.
Reply:Could it be a Craftsman?

Reply:I take a photo with my phone, send it as an email to my PC. I save the photo to desktop. From there I use third icon from right to follow & attach. An optimist is usually wrong, and when the unexpected happens is unprepared. A pessimist is usually right, when wrong, is delighted, and well prepared.

Reply:I think that's very close! Mine doesn't have the extra 4 plug ins only the 2 labeled heat.
Reply:No tree at top for me.
Reply:Yours will be an AC only machine... probably fairly low amperage. I "think" there was some variations of these made by Century (?) for both Sears and Montgomery Ward, but don't quote me on that.

Reply:Ok friends I believe the mystery is pretty much solved. It's not exact in that mine is one solid color of very dark gray. No silver in the middle. The closest so far is a Craftsman model 113201260. I even found a overhaul link! It is attached below as a thank you for all of your kind posts. Maybe there's still hope for this crazy world with good people like you!https://jimkerkhoff.com/2019/09/08/h...ftsman-welder/
