So, what's the deal with those flammable material storage cabinets? This kind: https://www.uline.com/Product/Detail...oors-60-GallonI have some metal storage cabs like that. The difference being that mine don't have a sump at the bottom and they aren't double wall. They don't seem to have any features to suppress a fire. Ya know how parts washers have those fusible links in the lid so if there's a fire, the lid shuts? I was expecting something like that, maybe. Sent from my Lincoln Buzzbox using Tapatalk
Reply:Some of those cabinets have a self-closing door that is set to a certain temperature.
Reply:I'm thinking about modifying one of my cabinets to more safely store some of my more flammable stuff like solvents and fuels and judging by the listing from U-Line, they don't really have much to em.A while back, I looked into building a storage safe/closet for the ammo I keep in the house. You want it to be "bombproof" so to speak, except on one side, so if you have a fire or whatever any explosion is directed in the safest direction (versus building pressure and blowing up the safe/storage roomSent from my Lincoln Buzzbox using Tapatalk |
