My previous experience with MIG welding has been primarily with a Hobart Handler 190.I am using C25 with ER70S-6 .035".While the Cyclone 312 is obviously WAY more powerful than the Hobart, what has surprised me is how quiet and smooth the arc is. Welding with the Cyclone feels like magic. And the power is intoxicating.I also have tried stick welding with 6011 in a dirty corner. I carelessly set the amperage at 130 (10 amps over recommended max). The result was excellent.I've had the machine 3 days and obviously I have just scratched the surface of what it can do but so far I am VERY happy. While I can't offer the perspective of having used any of the high-end machines the Cyclone is competing with, it is very hard for me to imaging that ANYONE would be disappointed with this. I think Everlast have hit another one out of the park.
Reply:No the machine really does beat out the competition in this welder in almost every category and the weld quality is excellent.Esab Migmaster 250Lincoln SA 200Lincoln Ranger 8Smith Oxy Fuel setupEverlast PowerPlasma 80Everlast Power iMIG 160Everlast Power iMIG 205 Everlast Power iMIG 140EEverlast PowerARC 300Everlast PowerARC 140STEverlast PowerTIG 255EXT |
