Found out something about the warranty that I wasn’t told or can I find in writing.Once you use the warranty to replace your machine, the replacement doesn’t have the remainder of the warranty term. You would have to buy another warranty on it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Reply:Others are same way. It is one time replacement. In some cases they just refunded your money 💵 on a gift card.  Now you buy at a new one at higher price using the gift card.I do not buy the extended warranty as wast of money 💵. Dave

Reply:In most cases it 30 days. Harbor Freight will exchange for same thing or something at a higher price in 30 days.I buy very little from hf since they have poor returns.HF does not sell Dewalt power tools.Dave

Then follow the machine's instructions, use reasonable care, and hope for the best.
Reply:Turning in my Pro Tig 205 and may end up getting a Primeweld 225 because no store has one to replace it. I’ll get a refund for price of welder but not the warranty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Reply:The last tool I had problems with was over 20 years old. A extended warranty would done must good at that point unless the they have a 30 year warranty. Dave

Reply:Why buy an extended warranty?  Does it give something they regular store warranty does not? Is it effective concurrent or after the store warranty runs out?I have had issue with computers.  Buy it on sale,  get warranty for full price computer. Computer breaks and value is less than the warranty and does not cover replacement.
Reply:Warranty that comes with the welder is only 90 days. Extended covers for 2 years. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Reply:Back, a lot of years ago,, my sister had a Sears whole house warranty, They fixed EVERYTHING!!They even came out and installed new blades on her riding mower, replaced the battery if it would not start. If a freezer died, they brought out a new one, and swapped it.Maybe, next time the car warranty guy calls, ask if they could apply that warranty to the welder??

Reply:Always read fine print on Warrants. I have had problem with items I have purchased after 30 days. A Extended coverage would be a waste ov money. Dave

Reply:Long ago, my Mother went tothe hospital and came home with a baby. She didn't get much choice in the selection, got no waranty, and had no Governmental programs to help with the maintenance. Some great while later when the kid turned blue, she paid the bill after the doctors at that hospital could find no reason and had no remedies beyond suggesting he be taken home,  kept comfortable and be fed chicken soup. Years later, the Government finally decided to get involved and gave most everyone a number. Because his was low, 'they' sent him a letter saying  to come in for work-training. Even then, they offered no guarantee he'd ever come back, at least not in one still-working piece.  But, because of his background, both from choices made earlier and from happenstance, plus because the statistical odds were in his favor and maybe because he was lucky, or God just wasn't done experimenting with his life, he survived all that training and everything that came with it during those few years. Naturally, over the many years, both before and after that training, there were lots of situations where a warranty would have been hard pressed to make good; where other factors including stubborness had much greater effect on his usefulness and his survival. Believe it or not, he actually was known to ride bicycles and motorcycles, to operate other dangerous equipment, to play with bees, bugs and snakes, to melt metal (probably experiencing deadly rays plus poisonous fumes), to give (bad?) advice on the Internet, and even to routinely drink too much coffee.  So, despite his mother having lived to a ripe old age, the kid who came with no waranty has outlived her, and continues to this day to defy that last law of nature, to wait for the last of The Three Bells mentioned by The  Browns Here:
