When I pull the trigger on my mig welder, I get a clicking sound and no wire advances. I have a manual advance and that works fine, so the motor is good and wire is not clogged in the line. The clicking sounds like it's coming from the capacitor ( I have 2 capacitors Sprague 45000 45Vdc) If I advance about 2" of wire manually out of the gun, then touch that wire to what I want to weld and pull the gun trigger, the wire gets red hot, but wire will not weld or advance. Wire will only advance when I use the manual advance wire switch.HELP

Reply:The torch trigger switch energizes a relay that energizes the contactor block which is a series of copper blocks or plates the releases the welding current. I always check the trigger switch, the relay, and the contactor block. My guess it is the very mechanical contactor block.Weld like a "WELDOR", not a wel-"DERR"
