What do I need to start tig welding with my 305g??

So pretty much what the title say I'm just confused of what I need? Any help would be appreciated

Reply:A foot pedal or button...or set your machine to lift start..... High freak box..it comes with a gas valve silenoid ( I know..I spelt it wrong).... Regulator and argon, tig torch. But you don't need the high freak for lift start.Paying the cost to be the boss!!!
Reply:Does the 305g have lift start tig option on it?I didn't think it did.All you need to tig weld steel, stainless steel etc. (no aluminum) is a tig torch with a gas valve, bottle of argon and regulator/flow meter. Scratch start. It's all I use and it works great. Reply:The machine has a tig setting touch start I know I have to get the obvious stuff I just seen some ppl get the inverters an stuff i don't understand why?

Reply:Also is there a wireless remote for the Lincoln's I've seen the one miller has but I don't think itl work on the Lincoln's an I found another one called tru-remote but haven't found any reviews on that one? Anyone know bout that remote like to get into pipeline I think itl come in handy

Reply:Tried scratch start tig welding today. The end of my tungsten tip just balls up. Am i running too hot? Parameters are 3/32" red tungsten, 75 amps, 35 cfh argon, welding on 10 gauge sheet metal.Ranger 305gMillermatic 140 AutosetDewalt Chopsaw2 grindersMy Fists

Reply:I just saw this. 35cfh is too much. 20cfh is max for a 3/32" tungsten. And that is for a #7 or 8 cup. Too much gas is just as bad as too little.Hooked it up backwards. Done that before.
