Lincoln Idealarc TIG 300/300 with Wire Feeder Question

I have an old Idealarc 300 welder, and was wondering can a Miller S-52E wire feeder be used with it?

Reply:I'm guessing maybe a cable adapter could be made up to go from the 4pin to a 5pin connector on the welder.
Reply:No it won't work. that wire feeder requires a constant voltage power source and the Lincoln TIG 300/300 is a constant current power source. You MIGHT be able to hook up a voltage sensing feeder to the Lincoln, but the Miller S52 isn't the right feeder for that.Miller Multimatic 255
