I have a miller shopmaster 300 cc/cv-ac/dc serial # ka738411 (2 stud model). I was welding on a job and switched from cv mode to cc to burn a few 7018 1/8", second rod in it blows the breaker. The welder never has done this before, reset breaker and it will instantly trip my main to a small shop it is located in. It will work in cv but cc will instantly draw massive amounts of power making a humming sound as if it were loaded to the max output instantly. If I turn contactor to remote as soon as I touch the tig pedal it repeats said process. To add insult to injury I found a burnt copper finger plate on switch s4(change over switch 133-144) so I replaced 2 burn plates, while putting back together my kids were out in the shop with me and knocked it over, even worse I took pictures of it before I removed and disassembled but the pictures are nowhere to be found on my phone. Does anyone happen to have a picture of the change over switch, I have the shorter version from what I can gather. I have searched the forum and found minimal results that have the smaller change over switch. I do have a manual and navigate millers service pdf files regularly, it may be HD1that has failed?, but would appreciate any input and/or a picture of the switch so I can at least use a feeder to complete a job. Thanks in advance, Tyler. ( Long post but trying to include any relevant info) |
