Can you replace just the jaw parts that make contact with the electrode on a Lincoln K909 stinger
Reply:Probably have to call Lincoln. What happened to the jaws?
Reply:I did a quick search and didn't see any sort of replacement jaws for sale. Might have to make them. That or just buy a new stinger. There are some new old stock K909s on Ebay for about $50.https://www.ebay.com/itm/40169692398...8AAOSwnjZcUHPTSent from my Lincoln Buzzbox using Tapatalk
Reply:I'm certain a new stinger will be more cost effective than replacement jaws ( if you can find them)Personally I prefer the Bernard style. A quick twist and the electrode is locked in and then you can bend to whatever angle you need. Here's one listed for sale near me ... :

Reply:I dont know if those jaws can be replaced or if its even worth it...Might be a pain in the butt to do it anyway. It made me smile though to see this....when I first went to work for myself I was a cheap money crunchin miserly little bastard...I used an old pair of vise grips with the weld lead clamped to it with to hose clamps. I had to watch and be careful where I set my "stinger" down. After about 3 months using this thing with 3/16 and 1/4 inch rods my hands looked like medium rare hamburger. Im sure MSHA would have had a damn fit had they seen that. My wife said to me why dont you get the thing that is made to do that? I told her i just never got out to get one yet....which was bull**** because I went out there pretty regular for bottles rods and other goodies. So under the Christmas tree that year is 2brand new stingers...one from her and one from each of my daughters
