One of those wonderful websites that's sure to suck hours out of your day as you browse around learning about things you didn't know you wanted to know!https://www.blocklayer.com/

I particularly like the printable templates. Overall, a good website to check in with any time you have a question. While I love my Engineer's Black Book and recommend everyone get a copy, this website is pretty handy for a lot of things!
Reply:In 1977, I was still in Engineering school at Virginia Tech,,my wife and I were visiting my sister one weekend. My brother-in-law was trying to figure out the dimensions so that he could build a set of steps,, about 8 steps up to a landing.I asked my BIL what size lumber he had, and how high each step would be.Then, I did a calculation on my calculator, and told him the dimensions he was trying to figure out.He said,, "No way that a calculator could figure that out!!" but, he said he would try my numbers. It worked,, the steps came out perfect,, until he passed away, he never stopped talking about the day I used a calculator to build a set of steps,,,,,,,,,,,,,
