I had a question concerning setting values on the panel of my Fronius welder that didnt seem apparent in the manual. I emailed a request Sunday night and to my surprise received a phone call first thing Monday morning from the Fronius welding tech for BC. Not only did he patiently walk me through background menus but assured me he was only a phone call away for any other questions I might have. I also discovered Fronius has a sales rep for BC and a service depot a ferry ride away on the mainland. Looking good so far..

Reply:Fronius has a great service/aftersales setup in the UK. Lots of happy people. You pay for it, of course.Same with Lorch.Kemppi and Lincoln - less so. It took a very snotty letter to Lincoln UK to get them to move on getting our Aspect 300 repaired - after spending near £1000 and 4 months at the local dealer/repair centre... Still not repaired, but got a replacement unit on free loan until ours is resolved...Last edited by Munkul; 04-05-2022 at 06:44 AM.Murphy's Golden Rule: Whoever has the gold, makes the rules.

Reply:I've got a total of 5 Fronius welders at work and have nothing but good things to say about them. The quality of all of their equipment is very high and they definitely lead in technology especially in high-end pulsed GMAW. My personal TransTig 210 shows up next week, here's to hoping the build quality and functionality is comparable to the big boy machines I've been exposed to so far.
Reply:Terry have you changed all of your machines to Fronius now? See you have two MIG sets and a stick/tig set in that picture on the other thread... So you've went all Miller, to mostly Thermal Arc, to mostly Fronius? Good times...Murphy's Golden Rule: Whoever has the gold, makes the rules.
Reply:Munkul, you forgot Lincoln

lolWhen I retired from farming 13 years ago I wanted to upgrade my buzz box and buy a "real" welder. Well to make a long story short I kept coming across good deals on machines and continued to upgrade over the years. Liken it to dabbling in the stock market and coming out ahead (in a pleasantly modest way).
