Bought this German built spot welder that doesn't work. I understand it is no longer supported by the manufacturer. So far I've found that the coolant lines have "rotted off" inside the coolant tank. (They break apart and easily-crumble). Most likely from a chemical reaction. I understand that there is an battery (on one of the circuit boards??) that has a five year life and most likely needs to be replaced. I'm hoping to find a schematic or service information that will help me get this thing working. I would appreciate any guidance or help. The German name is Elma-Tech.NormLast edited by norson; 2 Weeks Ago at 03:00 PM.

Reply:Good questions. I did in fact, check this stuff. Tons of searches, Watching all kinds of videos on trouble shooting circuit boards (because I don't know anything about electronics). I have a phone number for Car-O-Liner and am planning to call them today. I'm thinking that will be a dead end, but worth a try. One thing to note: The welder is a 220 3 phase and use 60amp fuses, I have a 15hp rotary phase converter that I use to run my lathe (10hp). I'm thinking I need more????

Reply:I don't know what you've found so far, but just did some quick searching and came up with a few leads I'll post below. The last is a .pdf from a Dalex company which was referred to (re a takeover) in the first site and its pictures may be more interesting but not useful. The second is supposedly the biggest US importer of Elma-Tech equipment. Maybe calling its customer service will do some good.On your photo, I don't know, but suspect the term "Norm: EN50063" may be a model number. https://elmatech-gmbh.de/index.php/e...eber-elma-techhttps://www.elumatec.com/en/elumatec-worldwide/usahttps://arctech.sk/wp-content/upload...spolocnost.pdf
