L-Tec Mig Welder Issue

I have this older L-Tec Mig Welder and cannot for the life of me figure out why it seems to be backwards.Without pulling the trigger when you lay the wire on the metal it starts to glow, when you pull the trigger the wire feeds but does not arc or weld.anyone have any ideas as how to fix this or what I should be looking for?


Reply:Some history of the machine would be helpful. Was it this way when you bought it? After a repair? Sounds to me like somebody replaced a relay with normally open and normally closed contacts and got something wired wrong.
