I have an old brass radiator. It developed a pinhole in the header tank today. I rigged up a pressure tester and pressurized the tank to 15 pounds and it held so I am not concerned about running considerably less pressure and starting another leak. Now my questions. I have a big soldering iron so I am going to use it. I have some 50/50 solder (50 Tin, 50 Lead) and some old flux for acid core solder. Is the flux the proper cleaner for the 50/50 solder or do I need some other? Is my 50?50 suitable for radiator repair? Do be afraid to send me to NAPA to get the right stuff.
