My 2x72 grinder generates so much steel dust that I decided to make a rolling base so I can drag it to the garage entrance and let the dust go out the door.  I'd still put a bucket under it but the cleanup should be easier.  I don't want too much of the steel dust in the driveway though because that will create rust stains.I was going to use angle iron for the base, but I didn't have a way to bend it.  Actually, I have a Hossfeld no.1 with angle iron bender but it's not set up and it's just too hard to pul and the it's not a circle anyway.  I just used 1" x 3/16" stock and used my induction forge to get it hot and just bend it around the perimeter of the base.  The wheel arches were plasma cut in two pieces then welded together and then capped with flat steel.  The wheel arch bends on the side and top plate were made using my forge and anvil.  Welded to the base and used a burr grinder to smooth it out.  I designed that shape because I wanted the base as close to the floor as possible.  I didn't want the grinder any higher than necessary. The grinder stand itself is super stable.  I can hang off the front edge and it won't tip.  Notice now the bend keeps the weight over the center.  After the pics were taken I drilled holes to bolt it down on the rolling base. Pretty happy how it turned out.
