I can get all these for $50, but they have no records. Would a gas supplier typically refuse to check or refill these? Any reason to expect oxygen, acetylene and argon in these (blue, orange, grey)? They do come from a welder.

Reply:No way for us to tell you what your gas supplier's policies are. Mine has no problem as long as it has current hydro-test, and if not, they charge $25 to do the hydrotest, and off I go after I pay for the contents with one of their tanks on exchange. Yours could just as easily say "no, we can't take in any tanks that are not already ours". It's simply best to call and ask around.

Reply:When you say no ID, what about names or letters cast into the top rings and especially the various stampings denoting the class, serial number and dates?

Reply:The blue and orange bottles have lettering on the neck ring, but that may not be deal killer. As mentioned, it's all about what your local shop says. It's possible the neck rings are from companies that went out of business years ago, so nobody cares. They could be from a current competitor and they won't touch them....or they won't care. It's a gamble, but for $50 a pretty small one.Check out my bench vise website: http://mivise.comMiller Syncrowave 250DXMillermatic 350P with XR AlumaProMiller Regency 200 with 22A feeder and Spoolmatic 3Hobart Champion EliteEverlast PowerTig 210EXT
Reply:I have 1 supplier that will only fill their bottles. 1 supplier that will fill anyone's bottles, but you will have to wait for yours to go through the cycle if it isnt one of "their" brands. Then I have a 3rd supplier who will take anyones bottle, if it is not theirs, you pay for a hydro no matter what. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Reply:Thanks for all the replies, guys! Someone else beat me to these bottles, but there will be others out there... Next time
