Hey gang picked up a Evolution Metal Saw. Let me tell you it’s awesome. Was looking at different cutoff saw solutions. Those using abrasive discs are less expensive however they do throw a shower of sparks. This carbide blade barely throws any sparks and cuts straight. Had some old roll cages from Razer UTVs. It was easy to trim out all the straight pieces. Have all the bends in a box. Left some of the bunges on the tubes to make bolting together easy. Going to make a nice tube bumper and brush guard or something.  This saw is a beast, made pretty easy work of 5” 1/4” thick pipe cut on 30 degrees.

Reply:Nice saw I like the one I have, never like the fumes for the abrasive wheel, only use a cutoff wheel when I have to.You may want to look back about about a year guys posting where to have the blades resharpened and teeth replace for a good price.DIY CNC Plasma table USB BOB Price THCHypertherm 65Everlast PowerTig 255 EXTMiler 180 Mig13" metal latheMill/ DrillECT, ECT,

Reply:I have the MK Morse saw. I bought it off a buddy, new in box, and for a great price. Still in box, waiting to be put to use in new shop. Hopefully soon. I've used the same model on a job site. It worked fine. I might have gone with an Evolution had this not been a great buy."Where's Stick man????????" - 7A749"SHHHHHH!! I sent him over to snag that MIC-4 while tbone wasn't looking!

Reply:I purchased Evolution couple of years back, works great. Does throw some chips, but i agree, way better that abrasives. Never could get the 14 inch abrasives to run true. Kept flexing.Search for posts by Oscar, his thread has address of sharpening shop just east of st louis in illinois.. Reply:I got the Fein Slugger chop saw. The base is more robust the the Evolution. Built a rolling cart for it that works greatSide in down position

Cut a hole in the table top and added a chip tray

Last but not least swapped cord ends and installed 50' cord real

Reply:I have used several different blades, I like the DIABLO STEEL DEMON, # 1472CF,  blade the best. I get a lot more cuts from these than all the others I've tried.
Reply:Wow that’s a nice table setup.

I like to have everything on wheels. seems like no matter where you put it, it is in the way. Oh wheels at least you can move it.
