Whats the best way to avoid the flumes from galvanized pipe welding
Reply:put one of them old "wooden clothes pin" on ur nose
Reply:Not welding galvanized would be the best way to avoid fumes. Otherwise, welding outside with wind or fan blowing fumes away. Keep face out of the smoke.
Reply:Sand off the galvanizing at the weld joint. Weld away. Spray with cold galvanized paint when done welding.ChrisAuction Addict
Reply:Weld in a well ventilated area, wear a respirator.SRA & IWW memberCentury 250 amp AC/DCCentury 295 amp AC
Reply:Best way is a PAPR with a gas filter, next best is be clean shaven with a P3 rated respirator, after that weld with lots of ventilation and keep your head out of the smoke and pray.
Reply:Stay upwind. Or hold your breath.
