I remember when the lincoln power mig 210 mp came out.. I always wanted something like that but have access to big mig welders etc so never really needed it, and I have a dedicated tig and a cheapy inverter stick welder for portable. I had my mind set on the 210, but everyone one else has machines now so harder to pick. The hobart multihandler 200 is a cheaper price point, anyone have one? or anyone have a review of theirs? And I came across the esab 210 emp, only 29 pounds!, this one has me interested being such light weight, even easier for welding at a friends etc. but haven't found any reviews, looks like new product. I would likely run .030 solid wire and then use the stick function and most likely not use the tig feature.
Reply:That is a VERY tough call. I don't have any experience with either unit, but I have owned Hobart machines before and loved them. It seems the Hobart is $200 cheaper and has a slightly better duty cycle than the ESAB. Based on that my choice would probably be the Hobart. But both companies make really nice equipment and they both look good.Miller Multimatic 255 |
