Work gave nice bonus and I've been looking to upgrade my older Marquette Mig rig. It only has two voltage settings and wire speed adj.. I've had my eye on a Miller 141.Most of my metal work is automotive related so I don't need big unit. I've also had an eye on the ESAB 141i which gives the option for a stick too. I know you can miss with the Miller but I am curious to input on the esab units regarding reliability and warranty. Thanks in advance.dlm ny country

Reply:I hadn't used the newer ESABs a whole lot, but most of the small hobby size welder are pretty interchangeable these days, and I find that in general with Miller you pay extra for the name even of the product and service are no better than the competition. I were you I probably go with the ESAB for the stick function, that gives you the option to slowly weldmetal of any thickness with a 1/8 7018 rod, I you ever need to.
Reply:I sold my old Mig earlier this year and purchased the Miller 141, have been very happy with it. |
