So I have a chance to pick up a Ingersoll Rand and also a Gardner Denver refrigerated air dryers that are the same size that have nothing at all wrong with them, but the IR dryer was paired up with a 30HP 240 gallon IR screw compressor. My compressor is only a 5 HP 80 gallon Bel Aire compressor. Would the refrigerated air dryer work fine with my smaller unit or is that big air dryer made to only work with higher flow volumes and so for some reason wouldnt work with my lesser air amounts? My compressor is used for a plasma table among other things so it moves alot of air but not near the volume that Ingersoll Rand compressor moved. Im just not familiar enough with air dryers to know. The college getting rid of them is swapping out their air equipment for brand new stuff even though the old stuff worked perfectly fine but it had alot of hours on it.
