Happy Thanksgiving all - just an early morning thought experiment.

Since I now have 2 fully functioning multi-process machines I'm thinking it would be nice to set up each differently to minimize swapping wire and whatnot.I'm most likely the only one that can answer this question, but it's nice to hear your thoughts and ideas.I like/use .O30 wire for most of my yard art/sculptures. A little bit of stainless, but mostly a combination of thick and thin mild steel. Probably .023 in the other machine.Either can be easily switched over to stick. Not a fan of Flux core.Anyways, just throwing it out there - maybe someone has ideas I hadn't thought of (usually the case!)

Reply:That will work and is the simplest solution. Use the machine with the shortest gun for the 0.023. Or use the machine with the least available power for the 0.023 if both guns are the same length .Sent from my SM-G996U using TapatalkMillermatic 252 MIGMiller Dynasty 200DX TIGMiller Spectrum 625 PlasmaAltas 12x36 Metal LatheBridgeport Milling Machinewww.psacustomcreations.com
Reply:I'm in the opposite condition, that is 1 machine 2 different gases. I expect the purists to cringe but I just use airline quick couplers and they work fine for what I do.---Meltedmetal
Reply:what are you welding with the 023 wire that can't be welded with 030? Me personally I would set up one machine for steel and one for stainless or bronze wire, with a different gas. I would think MIG brazing would be more useful for your art than two different sizes of ER70-S6.Miller Multimatic 255
Reply:2 separate flow meters is probably about the same price as the dual. Unless your welding 22 gauge, .030" wire should be all you need.

Reply:Just for giggles, any idea what happens if you try with C25?
