Hey guys new here I have a late 70s Lincwelder 225 with a onan motor generator. Im striking out hard with the solenoid and wiring it sense it doesnt have a starter and uses two twelve volt batteries instead. Its a new solenoid . I put all new spark plugs two new batteries cleaned up the electrical connections and still nothing when I hit the ignition button.
Reply:Sounds like it's about same as my old Hobart which uses 24v in windings in the generator to crank it. It doesn't have a solenoid instead uses a momentary pushbutton switch to energize the windings. Does your new solenoid energize when you push the button? If it does then there's a problem between it and the windings. My advice is to try to PM "duaneb55" here.
