I'm having to use Western splitters to run my argon and C25 tanks to my 210 MP and I don't understand why they made a multiprocess machine with only one input. Makes no sense. Already having to build a custom cart to hold twin tanks, the least they could do is put an input on the back for tig and one for mig.I'm not sure I've seen many multiprocess machines with dual gas inputs. Why aren't they doing this knowing we are going to have to swap everything over right in the middle of working?   Lincoln 210 MPLincoln 180 Mig Lincoln 3350 2.0 CK CK17FV CK CK9FV
Reply:Because they're not Miller (Lincoln fans, please don't excommunicate me from the known universe

)On a more serious note, I'm guessing it was to cut costs on a machine targeted at the more cost-concious general public. Nothing inherently wrong with that, as long as you know what compromises you are making and the machine works for you

Reply:Is there not such a thing as a quick connect  coupling  for this?
Reply:You normally only see multiple gas inputs on high-end machines...it's a cost issue.Check out my bench vise website:  http://mivise.comMiller Syncrowave 250DXMillermatic 350P with XR AlumaProMiller Regency 200 with 22A feeder and Spoolmatic 3Hobart Champion EliteEverlast PowerTig 210EXT

Reply:SO here is what I don't understand about the 210.......I bought a miller adapter with the gas pass through to connect to the 210, but the pics I am seeing online suggest that the 210 uses an external gas supply that ties into the adapter. So anyone with a 210 that can tell me, does the 210 not pass argon through the port it plugs into? It must have an external fed plug as seen below?

Reply:The machine needs a wiring adapter inside it to do tig. It is not ready for tig until the machine is disassembled some so the wiring can be plugged in. I mean if you want to be able to connect a foot pedal.Scroll to 4:00 Last edited by danielplace; 19 Hours Ago at 08:13 AM.

Reply:I don't need tig gas control, just the feed line. I was under the impression it came through the dinse connector as expected with the dinse i bought. It seems that is not the case. I may eventually buy the tig kit, but I have all the scratch start tig stuff I need from other machines to run it as normal right now and can still use the tig settings running the stick dinse lead on the proper output so it will work out. I've went ahead and ordered the dinse with the gas feed.Right now that works better than trying to use a Western splitter for the twin bottles anyway. I like to keep them separate.   Lincoln 210 MPLincoln 180 Mig Lincoln 3350 2.0 CK CK17FV CK CK9FV

Reply:Maybe the designer needs to read the book printed by Lincoln. He may have to go to Lincoln to get the book {5 steps away from his desk}Dave

Reply:I picked up the Dinse pictured above. All works well. I'm used to scratch start tig, just not happy that Lincoln hides the $550 tig addition components to the unit until after you are already the owner. Sure, you can research it, but Lincoln makes it SEEM like it's tig ready so you don't have reason to investigate until it is too late. Anyway, It's turning and burning well now. What is really annoying is that you have to turn the torch on the panel AND the gas as well. I wish the machine would just stay hot. Maybe there is a software hack.   Lincoln 210 MPLincoln 180 Mig Lincoln 3350 2.0 CK CK17FV CK CK9FV
