I have an older AC225C stick welder that I use once in a great while. The power adjustment is not working and when I opened it up I found the plastic yoke that slides the magnets is broken. The parts are no longer available but does anyone know what type of plastic it is? I would like to repair it, if I can, by welding the plastic. There is some lateral tension on the broken joints so I don't want to waste the time on a duct tape repair. Thanks
Reply:Perhap a good excuse for a 3d printer?
Reply:Or a job for someone that has one...Is there enough room to Crazy Glue it back together, and lay a coat of fiberglass over the whole thing for reinforcement? Could it be duplicated in something like hardwood? ... assuming it needs to be something that acts as an insulator... pics would help. Somebody out there may have a supply of obsolete parts or know where to find them...Last edited by whtbaron; 3 Hours Ago at 12:36 AM.250 amp Miller DialArc AC/DC StickF-225 amp Forney AC Stick230 amp Sears AC StickLincoln 180C MIGVictor Medalist 350 O/ACut 50 PlasmaLes |
