I have a Miller bluestar 185, it has the auto idle feature, which isn't working. It has the idle control in the hour meter.I replaced the pull solenoid, and it when it's running, it pulls in intermittently, but constantly timed between pulling the plunger, so it'll pull in, immediately release, 30ish seconds later pull in, immediately release and do this as long as it's running. Does anyone have any ideas on why it's doing this or things I can check out. Also pics of the solenoid/carb/governor area on other bluestars would be great
Reply:What you are describing is almost certainly a carb issue. That is the kind of stuff they do exactly when the carb is not functioning correctly. Disassemble the carb and clean all jets and passages you can and try it again. Very good chance you could be successful and she holds a steady rpm when your done.Even mechanical governors are prone to do that same type of thing when carb is not right. It happens to them on occasion usually caused from ethanol fuels short storage life and it sitting for a bit too long but carbs can just get junk in them from the crap that is often in pump gas.Last edited by danielplace; 6 Hours Ago at 09:45 PM. |
