Are lanthanated the safest and best for mils sheet metal work?
Reply:Some people think the thoriated is the bast and is safe. I wouldn't try to say lanthinated is better, but it's plenty good. That's all I use for steel or aluminum
Reply:Some people prefer other tungsten types for specific tasks, but 2% lanthanated works extremely well for everything. 3/32 covers a lot of ground, but 1/16 for thin stuff and 1/8 for thick stuff will let you cover all the bases. I buy Midwest Tungsten Service brand from eBay or Amazon...just depends which one has the best price at the time and have never had an issue with them after using them for years.Check out my bench vise website: http://mivise.comMiller Syncrowave 250DXMillermatic 350P with XR AlumaProMiller Regency 200 with 22A feeder and Spoolmatic 3Hobart Champion EliteEverlast PowerTig 210EXT |
