Looking to purchase a Regency 250 that the owner says he got from a railroad. He is telling me that it is 3 phase. I know miller has built equipment for the railroad that wasnt available to the general public but I dont know about a 3 phase Regency. I have not seen the machine but have requested photos of the serial number and voltage tag. Anyone have any insight? Thanks.
Reply:Every one I've seen was tapped with a 200 volt and a 230 ( or whatever, 220, 240 volt) single phase input. Pretty much just like an older millermatic 200. Probably one of my favorite transformer based Miller machines I've ever used. |
