I have noticed alot of people welding body panels and frame members and never continuing or finishing the weld Probably due to the thin metal and heat but....how do they keep water and moisture out.

Reply:Seam sealer..........Mike
Reply:IMHO,, you do not keep the "WATER OUT",,these vehicles are no longer used as daily transportation, so,, you do not drive them in the rain, let alone snow.If the vehicle is gonna live in an inclement weather area, the enclosed areas get paint or some other spray ,, then the access holes are plugged.I have seen YouTube videos of some stuff that comes in gallon cans that is sprayed into those areas,,but,, in Virginia, we do not have to worry about metal rusting away,, like a northern state worries,,,
Reply:u use auto body seam sealer sold at auto paint stores. 3m brand is a reliable brand. just don't seam seal it shut to trap water. also seam sealer unless 2 part will shrink. seam sealer will make bad and ugly welds the same bad and ugly welds.
