Local designer asked me to build a table base for a tree trunk slab table. I first made a drawing as a direction.
She seemed to like it so I made a quick wood prototype. We put tree trunk slab on it and she and her customer really liked the look.
Customer decided to change to coffee table height.I worked with a local shop to draw the file and CNC plasma cut the top circle, bottom circle with arms, and bend a hoop. I fitted with 2x4 legs to verify the fit and look.
I fabricated the 3 legs and welded all together.
Here is the final product in customers house after powder coating.
