The new truck I ordered came in, I need to build a headache rack for it. Can someone give me the measurements for the the plastic bed cap clips. I can't get an accurate measurement of the clips and Im afraid to remove the plastic caps with out breaking them. I need these measurements so I can bolt it to the bed.

Reply:You need to remove that plastic cover anyway so dont matter if u break it. It will be covered by the rack anyway. Take it out and measure inside on one and outside on the other. That will give u center
Reply:I don’t know if my F-150 (‘16) is the same, but I used a screwdriver to pry caps out and caps were only very slightly marred by removal. Area around hole wasn’t marred. Capswill likely never be reused as Backrack will stay on truck. On a side note: Is there a better way of attaching a rack(without drilling holes)than the J-bolt ?Miller a/c-d/c Thunderbolt XLMillermatic 180 Purox O/ASmith Littletorch O/AHobart Champion Elite
