Im looking at buying a used 30xp, for a heck of a steal. Guy says he has had it for around 5 years and only used it on one job. Is there any way to verify what year it was made? Will the serial number tell that? Any certain things I should look for when inspecting it?
Reply:A 30 XP that he's had for 5 years? LOL. I don't think they've been around that long. If it is an "XP", I doubt he got it before 2014.
Reply:You an call technical service at Hypertherm and they can verify its manufacture date from the serial number. The 30XP has only been manufacturers for about 2-1/2 or so years, it could be a Powermax30 which was the previous product that the 30 XP replaced. Jim Colt Hypertherm |
