The air light on my PM45 is always orange (top bar), even if there is no air in the system. Anyone else have that issue? Looked at the troubleshooting guide but didn't see anything there unless I missed it.Either way it still cuts great.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:Unplug the air and see if it will still " fire" when you pull the trigger

Reply:Isnt the orange light to show low air pressure? as you adjust it up it goes into the green light area...

Reply:If you think there is an air flow/pressure issue:1. Install a pressure gauge hard plumbed at the inlet (not anywhere else).2. Turn amperage knob all the way counterclockwise, this will make air flow at the torch.3. Read the pressure gauge. It must be between 90 and 120 psi when air is flowing at the torch. (you cannot read inlet pressure if your gauge is anywhere but right at the inlet...the one at your compressor will read higher, and is not the same as the inlet). 4. If this inlet gauge reads close to 90 psi...then watch it until the compressor is at its low point. If the inlet ever gets under 90....then you either have low output pressure from your compressor, or something in the air system (filter, water trap etc.) is restricting flow and must be fixed.5. Assuming you have between 90 and 120 through a compressor cycle.....then adjust (while air still flows) the onboard regulator until the LED's are satisfied. If this cannot be done....contact Hypertherm technical service and they will help troubleshoot. You may need a new internal filter, or regulator.Best cut quality and consumable life occurs only when the cut pressure is correct, which is when the LED is green.    Jim Colt  HyperthermSorry I am a little slow answering this week....am judging at the Skills USA weld and metal fab national competition in Louisville.
Reply:The gauge reads high(orange light) even with no airGuess I will open her up and call tech. Is there an easy way to open this, I remember fighting with it last time.Torchmate 2x2 CNC with Flashcut CNC controlsHypertherm Powermax45 Esab ET220i Razorweld 195 MigRazorweld 200ac/dc TigTormach 770, Tormach xstechRazorweld, Vipercut/Vipermig, SSC Foot Pedal Dealer
Reply:Directions to remove the cover are in the manual and the service manual.  2 screws in the handle, then spread the front and rear panels slightly and lift up the cover.   Jim Colt   Hypertherm.
