Can someone help me with the year of this Ranger??? Thanks,Tom

Reply:Guys,Thanks you both. This machine is a back burner project. I'm just seeing this thread.I'm finding that the engine runs fine in low idle and full throttle but I am getting only 33ish volt AC and no 240 volts. When trying to strike an arc I get only a spark at best. This is on both AC and DC.Thanks,Tom
Reply:I'm over on the other side of Pinnacle from you at the corner of Old Mill and Tillotson Rds.  I should have a GTX 225 service manual in a pdf.  Let me get a look at it later this evening and maybe I can figure out the most likely cause(s) and get back to you.Off the top of my head though, I'd be looking at the slip rings and whether they need cleaning and that the brushes are in good shape and making good contact followed by a check of the flashing voltage (2.5 VDC) at the brushes and 12VDC at the circuit board.
