I currently have a Miller xmt 304 cc/cv and a Miller 350 cc/cv . I would like to set one up for pulse welding. From what I understand I need to buy a optima controller box and would like to know what the difference is on the optima 300 vs. 450? Doese it matter if I use the 304 or 350 xmt? Or will they run the same?
Reply:Neither the 300 or 450 will work with your XMTs. They are designed for the XMT 300 and Maxtron power sources.https://www.millerwelds.com/files/ow.../O891B_MIL.pdfAn optima 304 is specifically designed to work with an XMT 304, I have this setup myself. I'm not sure if it will also work on a 350 or not.The "Optima" (no number) is what you need for the XMT 350, it works with 304, 350, and 456,https://www.millerwelds.com/files/ow...O2805G_MIL.pdfLast edited by Munkul; 11-09-2020 at 10:50 AM. |
