Hey fellas I am new to this forum. I have the manual for this welder but the electrical diagram is in Chinese to me. I have a Miller Bluestar 2E AC/DC welder. I was checking the brushes to see if needed replacement. I found only 3 wires going to the brushes. Is missing one wire, maybe someone can shed light on this. The welder has been performing fine. I traced the 3 wires. The brush on the left, one wire goes to ground the other goes to the Rheostat. The Brush on the right one wire goes to the Capacitor and the other wire is missing. I was wondering if the missing wire goes to the resistor since one connector does not have a wire. Any input will be appreciated.

Reply:I believe the resistor only requires the 2 wires as it controls battery charging. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will come along like duaneb55.Ol' Stonebreaker "Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes"Hobart G-213 portableMiller 175 migMiller thunderbolt ac/dc stick Victor O/A setupMakita chop saw

Reply:I assumed that since there are 2 tabs per brush, they both get used.

Reply:Actually, this is the correct diagram. Anyone?

Reply:If I'm reading your original post correctly the machine welds and operates as it should. This would be indicative that everything is wired and functioning correctly. The subject resistor is a "trim" resistor and you'll note it has an adjustment strap (referred to as slider) that allows varying its resistance value to dial in no load OCV (Open Circuit Voltage) per manual spec.As for the wiring diagram, it's purely a "functional" reference and not a point-to-point "as built" schematic. As such, many termination connections are actually in different locations within a circuit than those shown in the manual diagram yet maintains proper functionality. This does frequently require an understanding of how things work together in a circuit and can be a little confusing at times.MM200 w/Spoolmatic 1Syncrowave 180SDBobcat 225G Plus - LP/NGMUTT Suitcase WirefeederWC-1S/Spoolmatic 1HF-251D-1PakMaster 100XL '68 Red Face Code #6633 projectStar Jet 21-110
